• Meet the School Board Candidates of 2018

     

  • UPDATE 4/4/18: 

    Unofficial election results show that Kevin Seltzer and Matthew Schindler were elected to the Parkway Schools Board of Education. Seltzer and Schindler will both serve their first terms on the board. New board members will be sworn in at the next board of education meeting on April 11

    The school board election results are (in order of how names appeared on the ballot):
    Jeanie Ames - 4,436 - 12.21%
    Kevin Seltzer - 9,870 - 27.17%
    Jonathan Taylor - 4,402 - 12.12%
    Matthew Schindler - 11,016 - 30.33%
    Amy Bonnett - 6,525 - 17.96%

    Two director positions are open on the Parkway Board of Education, each for a three-year term, in the April 3, 2018 election. The candidates are listed in order of filing and as their names will appear on the April 3rd ballot. Biographies, submitted by the candidates, are included below.

    Candidates for the board of education must meet the following legal qualifications, according to state law.

    According to state law (Missouri Revised Statute 115.646), public school district employees cannot advocate, support, or oppose any candidate for public office during the regular work day and school district resources cannot be used to advocate, support or oppose any candidate.
