• School Safety Officers are licensed armed security officers who perform mobile patrols of district schools and buildings; provide security for Board of Education meetings, as well as sporting and other extra-curricular activities and special events; and attend traffic detail as necessary.  The primary responsibility of a School Safety Officer is to protect Parkway faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  In addition, these officers protect district property and enforce laws and board policies.
