Alergen guide

  • Parkway understands that students have a variety of dietary needs ranging from mild to life-threatening food allergies and chronic disease management. Regardless of severity, a dietary condition can be a distraction from learning if symptoms arise. Check out the resources below to help students make the best meal selection for their needs.

Check out our online menus here and filter items containing the top 9 food allergens!

Milk, Egg, Wheat, Soy, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish & Sesame

Select “filters” in the upper right corner of any menu on Nutrislice and select the allergens to avoid. Once selections are made, menu items will turn red with a strike-through if the selected allergen is present.

Our online menu also contains additional nutritional information!

Click any menu item, and a pop-up box will appear showing nutritional information. Great for checking carb counts!

    Additional Allergy Management Resources:
Sometimes students need a menu modification to safely meet their nutritional needs. If this is the case, the USDA requires a statement from a physician with specific accommodations, which must be submitted to the food service and nursing staff.

Suppose your child has a food allergy or special dietary need due to diabetes, celiac disease, etc. Have your physician complete the form below and return it to the school nurse or food service department for appropriate arrangements to be made.
