Distance/Virtual Learning Days: Student/Parent Checklist

  • After the district closes for the 2nd snow day, the Technology Department will go into preparation for the 4th snow day to ensure that students will be able to have a positive virtual school day experience. Please use the information below to prepare for any Virtual Learning Days. 

    • All students (K-12) attending school in-person will be required to begin taking their Parkway School District Chromebooks home with them on a daily basis. In order to sign into their Parkway Chromebooks, they will use either a Clever Badge (K-2) or use their Parkway Google Account. For information on how students sign into their Chromebooks, please see this document.

    • In order for the Parkway School District Chromebook to function, it will need to be connected to the Internet. Click here for directions on how to get it connected to your home's Wi-Fi Internet connection. If you do not have Internet in your home, please contact your school's Guidance Counselor for options. 

    • Most of the students' learning applications are accessed through Clever. Access to Clever requires the student's Parkway Google account. If your student has assignments to complete from an application through Clever, please click here for details on how to access Clever. 

    • All Parkway School District Chromebooks have access to Google Meet. Google Meet will be used for virtual class instruction. If there will be a virtual class, this information will come from the teachers. If you need clarification, please email your student's teachers for details. 

    • Students may have assignments that will be placed on our learning platform called Schoology. To access this application, see the Student Schoology page for login information.
