Process for Requesting Accommodations for Standardized Testing
at Parkway South High

Free Testing: Required of all Parkway Students - EOC and District ACT
Fee Based ($) Testing: Optional for Students (personal choice) - National ACT, PSAT, SAT, & AP
AP Exams are typically associated with specific high school coursework

ACT accommodation request process
A consent form signed by parents and the student is required to proceed with the process.
Students with an IEP will need the IEP to have been written within the last calendar year. Students or their parents/guardians may also need to supply an official diagnosis or diagnoses from a medical or mental health provider with the date of diagnosis or diagnoses.
Students with a Section 504 plan will need to have a current Section 504 plan that has been updated for high school. Students or their parents/guardians will need to supply a current official diagnosis or diagnoses that the Section 504 plan is based on from a medical or mental health provider with the date of diagnosis or diagnoses.
Students receiving English Learner services (EL) are eligible to request accommodations. The EL teachers will assist in providing the information to Ms Seuc that is needed to make the request.
Students with a medical plan are eligible to request accommodations. The school nurse will work with Ms Seuc to provide the school plan. Students or their parents/guardians will need to supply a current official diagnosis or diagnoses from a medical or mental health provider with the date of the diagnosis or diagnoses.
College Board (PSAT, SAT, AP) accommodation request process
A consent form signed by parents and the student is required to proceed with the process.
The College Board recommends that an IEP, Section 504 plan or medical plan has been in place for a minimum of 4 months within the school year (summer months are not part of the 4 month period).
Once approved by the College Board, whatever accommodations have been determined by the College Board will be in place for all College Board exams for all high school years.
