Advanced Placement (AP) from the College Board
AP is a way a student can earn college credit or placement through an AP subject exam. The exam is associated with an AP high school class. Students can study independently to take an AP Exam, but that is a very difficult task as there would not be an instructor teaching and guiding the learning, and no access to the resources the College Board provides through AP Classroom. AP Classroom is linked to the high school class and teacher.
