2025 Strings Camp Information

The Parkway School District is pleased to announce that the Parkway Strings Summer Camp will be offered for all strings students who are entering grades fourth through eighth in August.  String Camp will take place July 28 through August 1, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Parkway SOUTHWEST MIDDLE SCHOOL.  The camp fee is $75.00 per student for all fifteen hours of instruction (including a camp T-shirt).

All students must provide their own instruments and transportation (and be picked up by 12:15 p.m.)  Please note that we offer beginning/refresher viola, cello, and bass classes for students who would like to switch before the school year starts. 

All Bass players must provide their own instrument.  Check with your teacher if you need help getting an instrument for camp.

During String Camp, students will be able to review their reading skills, develop new techniques, and prepare for the coming school year.  There will be small and large group instruction, guest artists, and a performance on the final day of camp.  We encourage your child to bring a light snack (no peanut products) and drink each day!

• Please arrive on Monday, July 28th at 8:45 a.m. in the commons, where you will meet the staff.
• All students must provide their own instruments, snacks, and transportation.
• All students must be picked up by 12:15 p.m.
• REFUNDS ARE NOT POSSIBLE
